Regular ACTS Meetings

The sharer for our April 16, 2021 meeting will be Pastor Harold Burrell – West Jackson Baptist Church in Millerton, PA.

Intro from Pastor Burrell:

I was born in Montour Falls NY. I was born again at the age of 12 at a Billy Graham Crusade in Elmira. The Lord called me to preach when I was 15. I left for Bible College when I was 17.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go well. I kind of got “full of myself”…got expelled from school for a time…and never finished. Instead, I got married…started having children right away (3)…and began working secular jobs. Eventually, I ended up spending 10 years at the Indiana State Prison. (I mean, as a Correctional Officer, but still…)

Finally, my family and I moved back to NY in 1991. Shortly thereafter the Lord led us into a ministry of Evangelism, where we were able to travel the country singing as a family in local churches. We did that for approximately 12 yrs.

Then in 2005, the Lord introduced me to the folks here at the West Jackson Baptist Church. And though I was not looking to pastor, God apparently had other plans. As it stands right now…it would be fine with me if the Lord would allow me to spend the rest of my day’s right here.

The regular ACTS bi-weekly Friday meetings are open to all and begin at 7:00am.

WINTER WEATHER POLICY:  All meetings will be ZOOM only if the Horseheads schools close or go all virtual due to seasonal weather or other conditions.

ACTS Good Friday Missions Offering 2021

Dear Friends of ACTS,

As you perhaps know, ACTS primary Outreach Christian Service Project is that of raising & providing financial support for a select group of both foreign and domestic Missions & Ministries listed in ACTS website below.

 Our ACTS Good Friday Celebration programs over the years have featured a Special Missions Offering, which is always sent out 100% to help meet the financial needs of each of the Missions & Ministries we help support.

That special Good Friday Missions Offering has historically been the single largest amount received each year in support of these Missions & Ministries ~ so it is a most important fund raiser event for all those in Missions & Ministry that we help support financially!

This year again, unfortunately ~ because of the COVID-19 meetings restrictions, we were not able to hold a group meeting and receive our Special Missions Offering as in the past, but we do want and need to give opportunity for all those who historically have faithfully supported this special annual offering ~ to do so by mail.

Therefore, the enclosures with this mailing are intended to provide you with the opportunity to give to the annual ACTS Good Friday Missions Offering by mail.

As we each contemplate just how generously the Lord would have us give in support of His called Servants in Missions & Ministry ~ may He help us recognize and consider the adverse financial impact this COVID -19 virus is having on the financial support for all those in Missions & Ministry these days around the world during these most difficult times worldwide!
