Dr. Shaw has been the Head of School at Twin Tiers Christian Academy in Horseheads, NY since 1996 and on staff at the Academy since 1990. It was an interest in mathematics coupled with a burden to minister to young people that initially led him to pursue a degree in mathematics and secondary education at Cedarville University after securing a master’s degree from Elmira College and his teacher certification through New York State.

Dr. Shaw started teaching college courses at the Academy as an adjunct professor for Corning Community College. In 2015, he received his doctorate from Binghamton University after completing a national study on the history of Christian education in the United States. Through the years, Dr. Shaw’s greatest joy comes from seeing the transformative effect of a biblical worldview education in the lives of his students.

In addition to his work at the Academy, Dr. Shaw’s interests include coaching as well as officiating basketball, long distance running, and spending time with his wife, Kathy, and their four children.
